OKAY!
I'm finally ready to announce my little forthcoming project! I know you guys have been waiting with baited breath, but it's finally time to unveil it. ... Since I pretty much finished the scripts. -Coughcough-
For the second project, I've come up with a concept and a niche, and I need artists.
The third project is STILL under-wraps. Sorry about that. It has to do with some of the same themes, though. I can tell you that much .
First off! I have virtually re-written my story Echoes in the Rain to fit into multiple formats, and am going to start work on three different formats for it - all of which I will need help with. Paid help. I'm also planning a bit of a surprise for my partner and best friend to go along with these releases. At any rate, I have worked out a pay-schedule for those interested. It may not be a professional-grade pay-schedule, but I still don't have an actual job yet. Working on that. One thing at a time, though.
Echoes in the Rain will be produce in three different formats - A Radio-play, a Visual Novel, and a straight up Manga. The script for the Radio-play is already finalized, and the visual novel and Manga both need artists. I'm going to work on the Radio-play [audio-book, pretty much] first.
TO DO THIS, I will need a small cast of voice actors. The 'types' and brief personality will be listed here. I WILL PAY YOU for your work, it just may not be as much as you're used to.

Type: Protective / Assertive {Homosexual}{Smoker}{Gently-spoken}
-- Echo is 30, and smokes, so it would be preferable if his voice actor could emulate what years of smoking does to a soft-spoken person's voice. The list of lines for audition for this character are extensive - thus, I will give them to you when you PM me with interest. This is a MAIN CHARACTER, and has a lot of lines.

Type: Submissive / Energetic {Homosexual}{Drug-user}{Very quiet}
-- Raine is Echo's partner. He is written as 21, but anywhere from 19 to 25 are acceptable. He uses drugs, and his voice shakes ever so slightly when he's emotional, so the voice-actor needs to be able to emulate that. This character is a main-character, and the same line-rules apply for him. There are a lot.

Type: Aggressive / Abusive {Straight}{Alcoholic}{Uber Religious}
-- Kenneth is Raine's father, and should be anywhere from 40 to 55. He has a gruff voice, and rarely sees his son as anything but a burden.

Type: Motherly / Driven {Straight}{Married}{Tolerant}
-- Lucy is Echo's mother. She should be anywhere from 50 to 54. This can be adjusted, because the woman is dead, and may have reverted to a younger self. Her voice should be a calming influence in the back of Echo's mind.
^ Right now, I am ONLY casting these characters. Once I have these base four, I will start branching out for fourteen more bit parts. PM me and let me know if you are interested, and which character you would like to read for. I am going to be insanely picky with the two mains, but that should have been a given. Payment will be discussed DURING the 'interview' before I give you any lines to read. PLEASE NOTE: I am poor. I don't have a job, and I never know when I'll get more money - but I will TRY and stick to any payment plan. Thank you.

Update, Transformice, Games, and MYO Contest

So, if you're wondering where I've been for the last couple of weeks, the answer is simple. ... Not here. BUT. I have been working on several things. Gifts for other people, applying to jobs, Transformice, a Terraria world, my RPG Maker game, and dealing with emotional ups and downs. Through this all, I have learned several important things.
- Inu is a terrific Shaman.
- I suck at Shaman.
- TEdit apparently 'breaks' server worlds? Who knew.
- Ruby and Python DO NOT work well together, unless you know what you're doing - and I don't know what I'm doing.
- Having 'stand ins' for characters only works if you name them the right damn thing in the first place. And remember the name.
- Apocalypse World RPG game is difficult [although fun] to write Fronts for.
- Some Aywas PSDs need to be burned with the holy fire of redemption.
- MONEY SUCKS. No, seriously. It does.
- and when dealing with some people, you need to be EX.TREME.LY specific with your words.
On top of all that, Mom and I have been having some tiffs here and there, and my brother has only called once to tell me he's alive. SO. YEAH. Big things. Small things. ALL THE THINGS.
On that note, one of those "things" is my RPG Maker game that I've been working on for a little over half-a-year, and having to start ALL THE FRICK OVER because of conflicting storylines which I didn't think out first. Well... I'm thinking them out this time. XD
And actually, I need some help. Anyone who's familiar with RPG Maker SPRITES, BACKGROUNDS, and OVERWORLDS can feel free to apply to the following thing.
I need help with art, since I'm not much use in that front anymore with my Carpal Tunnel. I need SPRITE artists to do side-characters, mains, baddies, bosses, and items. I need BACKGROUND artists to help me with customized tile patterns, and different materials for 'building' my worlds. I need OVERWORLD artists to help me with the overworld maps, the game's cutscenes, and the backgrounds during scripted events.
I do, however, have some requirements. And I fully intend to pay anyone for anything I use / buy the rights of it off you. I don't have a job, but I will attempt to make payments on time, and if I don't, I will certainly pay you back for the work you've already done. It's not easy having little to no money, a bum wrist, and trying to make a game.
Sprite artists will be asked to focus on bad-guys, background characters, items, or effects. Depending on which you choose, you may also be expected to produce faces in several different emotions [I refuse to use the RPG-Maker generator. The faces sort of suck. XD], and/or sprites for use in cutscenes. Item artists will be expected to adhere to the world lore and take that into consideration when designing weapons, tools, or background items. There are 20+ characters who figure into the storyline of this game. Each one needs a full set of sprites, and faces. There are 300+ unique items that need to be made, and some of those require close-up pixel art, or the ability to become character-held weapons or placeable objects. There are a little over 30+ bad-guys, and 10+ unique villains that need to be sprited, including unique effects for each storyline-dependant fight. There are 16 locations, with 2 unique backgrounds each - and 10 of those need to be made into 2 distinct maps. Another thing the game will have is 30+ unique songs. 8 of them MUST HAVE WORDS related to the lore, which I will write. Your job would be to put music to them. As well as all this spriting work, I need VOICE ACTORS, because all lines will be voice-acted. There is, quite literally, PLENTY of work for everyone who wants to help.
But you probably only care about the baseline, so here's my best guess. And I KNOW this is cheap. I know. Believe me, I know. But it is literally all I will be able to afford, and I might not even be able to afford it.
Spriters for items will be paid 1$ per fully completed item. Set of 10, 10$, set of 20, 20$ and so on.
Background artists will be paid 5$ for each PIECE of completed art, and 30$ for a full location. This doesn't include the map.
Spriters for characters will be paid 20$ for each completed CHARACTER. This includes all sprite positions, faces, and emotions. Each additional piece of required art can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis, especially for main characters, or those integral to the storyline [such as cutscene art, and closeup art].
Any and all completed maps will earn 10$ each, but must be to exact specifications.
The title-screen artist will be paid a flat 40$ for all work involved [including background, buttons, and layout].
Song-writers, and bit-tune editors will receive 15$ for every 10 - 12 minute tune. The storyline dependent ones can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. All 'background' tunes will be REQUIRED to be able to be looped.
Voice-actors will be paid on a case-by-case basis depending on who I cast you as.
Of course, the lure of money is spectacular, but there are a few rules, and a few perks if you decide to generously DONATE your work.
The number one rule I have is the ability to follow gentle direction. I don't push, nag hard, or harass, but I may ask you to do something over, or - for voice potential voice actors and music artists - read something over in a different tone, or re-cut a track to a specific length. I'm not mean, I'm not harsh, but I do have specific ideas that I'd like to shoot for. Of course, creativity is encouraged, and who knows? You might actually improve upon what I'm looking for.
Number two rule. You must be okay with the following themes, especially music-composers and voice-actors: Homosexuality, Transgenderism, Fantasy Themes, Dark/Horror elements, potential gore, and illness.
Rule number three. Please, please, PLEASE for the love of any and all gods you may or may not believe in - be patient with me. First time making a game, first time directing, first time writing a script... I'm new. I'm fragile. I'm like that vase that's on the top shelf, and if you're particularly rowdy around the house will come crashing down into little bits. Please don't jump on the furniture and cause me to shatter.
Perks time! Yes, if you donate your work, you get some major perks to choose from.
- You can add an Easter Egg to the game!
- You can add a boss to the game!
- You can design and write a quest!
- You can design and write a specific event! [Within the lore]
- You can have a personal character written into the lore, and possibly even featured in the game!
- You can have an area/town/character named after you, or something you love!
For particularly time-consuming and intensive work [such as voice-acting or spriting items] you can even ASK ME TO MAKE YOU/YOUR CHARACTER a main in the storyline. And - this goes for everyone - if the game takes off at ALL? Everyone involved will get some sort of reward, monetary or otherwise. As always, ASK ME for things, if you think they'd be good rewards.

So. I can't art anymore, because I no longer can hold a tablet pen. XD
But that doesn't mean I'm dead or not here. I am. I really am. I'm going to start posting little shorts and stuff when I get to them, but typing, also has been silly. Silly, as in stupid, stupid as in sucky. Carpal Tunnel sucks massive d**k. I'm working on healing my wrist, but it's going to take time, and I'm still constantly on the computer because guess what? No job.

Yeah, so... anybody have any idea how to set up/run a Terraria multiplayer server? I want to get on the game with my best friend, but so far we have no idea, and it's getting a bit annoying.
Starbound Modding?
Any pixel artists want to help come up with a Starbound race? I've been wibbling about creating one, and it's starting to nag at me that I can't pixel right now to help myself with that.
